Whether you’re relocating, downsizing, or making your first rental move, getting started is easier when you know what’s required. This quick guide breaks down the rental application process—and how to secure your spot at Sloane, fast.
Step 1. Start Your Application
A complete and accurate application helps keep the process moving. Be prepared to submit:
-
Valid Canadian government-issued photo ID, OR a valid Canadian visa that remains active for the full lease term.
-
Proof of Canadian funds
-
Employment letter and two recent pay stubs, OR Canadian tax return, OR Canadian savings/investment statements
-
Consent to a soft credit check
Step 2. Supporting Your Application
Every applicant’s situation is different—and that’s expected. If you’re new to Canada, studying internationally, or still building credit, one way to strengthen your application is to apply with a Canadian guarantor.
Guarantors must provide:
-
Valid Canadian ID
-
Employment letter and two recent pay stubs
-
Canadian tax return or savings/investment statements
-
Consent to a soft credit check
-
Legal responsibility for the lease

This final step ensures your layout, view, and any applicable incentives are fully secured.
